The 3800 cartridges aren't refillable, so I don't see much demand for the empty ones. If you do find a place, please let us know. I've found ANTOnline (http://www.antonline.com/) to have the best prices for 3800 carts.

There might be an interesting business opportunity here. Take peoples' empties and harvest all the remaining ink that is actually still in there. The use that ink to refill some of the empties and sell the refills for $25.00. I don't think I would buy the refills but maybe there are people out there who would???

However, one can buy refillable cartridges for the Epson 3800, and ink to fill them. Just do a google and you will find several sources.

I don't recommend this, just saying that the cartridges and ink are there for interested parties.

You can buy a tool to reset the (counter) chip in the 3800/K3 cartridge -- to either use up all the ink or refill it completely after harvesting other cartridge ink to fill...do a google to find it.
