Hello. I'm Tom McCabe from New Bern, NC. I'm originally from Chicago, retired from the US Marine Corps here in Eastern North Carolina. I've dabbled in LF photography but am not proficient yet. I hope to continue to learn and refine my skills. I own a Toyo 45CF and an older Speed Graphic that had belonged to my father. I have a website: www.coastallightphotography.com. Most of the images there are medium format with a few digital. The page on my website for my Dad, Grant McCabe, contains all images shot with the Speed Graphic. I'm looking forward to an opportunity to learn from all of you!

Welcome Tom

My wife and I have sent many a summer at Surf City on TopSail Island.

You have a nice website, enjoyed the warbirds.

Just wondering. I've tried looking at several profiles, including my own, and am denied access. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to be able to access profiles?

Thanks!
Tom

Hi Tom: Greetings from Wilmington, NC --- the Azalea Coast! My wife and I split time between Wilmington and Cincinnati. You'll learn much on this site and receive good advice and view some spectacular images. My specialty is garden photography which can be viewed at: www.naturesportraits.org. Your work looks great; enjoy LF. TJC.

Howdy and welcome from Louisburg, NC. I've been away for a bit...but I'm sure you'll find that this is a great forum for LF reading.

Hi, Dorothy:

Thank you!! I had occassion to visit Louisburg a couple of years ago to photograph a bridal. I got away in time to get to Laurel Mill before it got too late. Your work is wonderful and so is your husband's. I have my own darkroom but have nowhere near the skills of your husband. I'm always on the lookout for a chance to learn some of those skills in a workshop somewhere. Thanks for sharing!
