Congratulations. Looks clean, works well (though I didn't click on every link), and your work is beautiful.

Sorry about the cats. I have two, but only one cooperates. HA!

Simple and elegant site which perfectly compliments your images! I love how your site allows for comments at each image, how did you do this?
Thanks for sharing with us all, I have it bookmarked and will continue to visit!

A very nice site to navigate (i.e. simply/classically styled with no dreaded flash etc), and some very nice photos, although too much digital and not enough LF IMHO ;)

Not sure how you rationalise these 2 statements ...

"Recently I've been using a digital SLR alongside the large format camera, a Sony a900. "

"Unlike most (sane) people I gave up digital in 2007 and 'went film' after a visit to the Joe Cornish gallery ..... "

As a point of interest did you move from Ebony RSW to Chamonix for more movements ? Greater range of usable lenses ?

Humm, I see your point there Rob - until I got the Sony I didn't do any digital 'proper' landscape work at all, but I've unintentionally fallen into using it alongside my 4x5 and Hasselblad. The balance should be shift in favour of 4x5 over the next weeks, I've got loads of sheet film waiting from as long ago as last November to develop, once my temperamental Jobo is fixed again

The Ebony was a lovely camera but yes, I moved on to the Chamonix because of the limited range of usable lens, I like to use up to 300mm (well I'd like to use up to and the Ebony struggled even with a 150mm.

Glad you like the site :)

Beautiful stuff! It has a heightened, quasi-abstracted feel without looking over-processed, luridly saturated or artificial. A great balance of fantasy and reality in color.

Thanks again everyone, it's great to get such positive feedback :)

Interesting thoughts on my work nathanm – I'll have to try and remember your synopsis so I can use it when trying to explain my work!

Just be careful, otherwise someone might get a hold of it and call it "ramblecrap"! HA! (just kidding) I wouldn't worry too much, the images speak for themselves, there's no real need to dress them up with too many words. To paraphrase Frank Zappa, writing about photographs is like dancing about architecture. I do think the matter-of-fact descriptions are helpful, though. People do like to hear a little behind-the-scenes story. Even a stunning scene needing no explanation will still prompt thoughts like, "Where IS that?" and "How did you do that!?" and so on.

The first page looks great, but if I try to click into any of the galleries, I get this message popping up,

'Error: the xajax Javascript component could not be included. Perhaps the URL is incorrect?
URL: xajax/xajax_js/xajax_core.js'

I have Safari. I don't know if that is the problem.

Thanks for looking folks and leaving comments, much appreciated :)

icefan13 – I've tried it in later versions of Safari, I think you must be running an older version as I did make it go wrong on my old scanning mac which is running 1.5, seems fine in versions 2 and 3. It's a problem with Ajax programming not supporting the older browser, not much I can do about it I'm afraid :(
