E.M. Eldridge

Several years ago, I picked up in a flea market a wonderful black and white framed print of Crater Lake, with the name "E.M. Eldridge" written on the mat. Alas, our friends at Google can tell me only of an E.M. Eldridge who directed a 1928 movie, Forbidden Grass. Does anyone here recognize his name, or know anything about him?
