I've always wanted to build a large format camera and now that I have the time to do it, I need to get down to brass tacks and figure out the lenses. I'm interested in glass plate photography and I've done some with my speed graphic but now I'm ready to go big. The ambrotype is really cool but the small size lacks the visual impact I want. You hang it on a wall and POOF....Where did it go?
There doesn't seem to be much info on ULF lenses and I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. Any ideas on lenses to cover 20x24? I guess one portrait and one landscape. There doesn't need to be a shutter but f-stops that aren't Waterhouse slides would be nice. I haven't folded the bellows yet or made the rails so focal length is up for grabs.
Thanks!
Rod
