In case you are not familiar with this, it is a sun-moon calculator software. Shows times and azimuths for any location you input. Shareware (free!). Safe to download.

I already do that for Mt. Rainier NP (http://www.wsrphoto.com/mtlight.html). The one at Fossil Creek is only for Windows, where the links on my Web page are Web-based, meaning free.

As a free alternative I use this site: http://www.timeanddate.com/ for my sunrise and sunset times. It doesn't seem to allow input of latitude/longitude but there are many locations so you can get pretty close. It does much more that that too. I use it to check moon phases to which the height of the tides are linked. If I want beach photography I generally head there at a spring tide when much more of the beach is exposed at the low of a spring tide. This is 1 to 2 days after the new moon or full moon. So, getting a low spring tide coinciding with sunrise or sunset is a gift - as long as there are no clouds. This site doesn't do high and low tide times - those come from different sites.

Google Earth has a useful sun position deal. You can see what's illuminated for anytime, anywhere.
