I'm not sure if my 5x7 tachihara is the only one with this issue but if there are others, please let me know.

The problem is that when the camera is set up for shooting; unfolded, lens attached, and mounted on the tripod, I have noticed that the back "rocks" back and forth even when locked down. What I have found is that when the rear focusing mechanisms (there is one on each side) are locked to prevent further movement, the clamping mechanism is loose so that it tips slightly forward. It does not move down the gear track to change focus, but rather the bracket that wraps around the bottom bed of the camera has some built in "slop" which could affect focus. There are two set screws on the bottom of this bracket but I cannot break them free to adjust them. If I could free them, I could tighten them upwards towards the bed so that the rocking would be eliminated/minimized.

Does anyone else have this camera? Have you noticed this issue? Does this mean I have to send it in for repair?

Thanks in advance,
Randy
