I want to dig out my polaroid back and do some work tomorrow. The only thing is that my supply of sodium (?) sulfite has long since finished. Is there another and more easily available (in Jerusalem) method of clearing?

many thanks in advance!

Probably not recommended by polaroid, but just leaving it in water and agitating it from time to time will work, and gently peel off the bits on the side (we used to do this with 665 in the lab all the time); you may want to fix-harden afterwards as I'd imagine the gelatin in the emulsion will have swollen and be quite fragile

I used a bath fizz bomb the other day, they seem to full of sodium sulphate, it seemed to work for my Type 55....but do a test first I wouldn't want you to ruin your negs on my advice.

Hypo clear works also, but letting it soak in water for a while works too.
