I have a Deardorff camera and 42cm Heliar which is a very heavy beast. Also retaining ring is bigger than 6x6 lensboard.

My initial thought is to use my old Arca A model front on separate tripod to accomodate this lens. I'll mount it on 171 mm front and use bellows to connect to my dorfie front. The only problem I have is either mount 8 inch packard shutter or use very slow film, like Efke 25,50 or 100 and go to like 0.5 - 1s?

Any suggestions? Pictures?
Greatly appreciated.

Not a recommended combination, imho. I have this lens, so I know what you're dealing with. An Agfa universal/commercial view with 7 1/2" lensboards and a sliding tripod block so you can balance it might work. But the best solution would be a studio camera (Century, Agfa/Ansco, etc.) My lens is on a 9" lensboard for the Agfa Studio 5a (http://www.cameraeccentric.com/html/info/agfa_1.html). Honestly I don't see using this lens in the field.

The Deardorff was not made for a 42cm Heliar. A 36cm would tax it, and a 30cm won't cover.
