I guess, the question sounds a little bit more complicated ... To clarify, I'll start:

I use my 4x5 to shoot 2x5's. I don't have any other adapter like 6x6 back or 6x9 back.
My 8x10 Dorf is used for 4x10 and 5x8 as well.
My 8x20 is used to shoot 7x17.

How about you?

I use my 4x5 to shoot (occasionally) 5x4s. :) ...a matter of perspective influenced by gravity.

I use my 4x5 Cambo to expose 2x5, 35mm (old Practica camera mounted to back), 6x7, 6x9, 3x4 (Polaroid pack), and, of course, 4x5. :) A friend has a 6x6 back that will fit it if I ever want to use it.

i shoot a graphic 23, and 22 back ( i think that is 6x7 and 6x6 ? ) with a series d slr ( 4x5 )
i used to use a recomar 35mm back on the same slr, and a speed graphic.
i sometimes use an in camera 7x11 mask with a 11x14 camera
and will soon bypass the mask for a dedicated 7x11 back.

Me too. I just made another darkslide mask today for my new Mido holders.

I also have different reducing backs and rollfilm backs for various cameras (2x3" on 4x5", 4x5" on 8x10", 6x7, 6x9, and 6x9/6x12/6x17 rollfilm), but I think of those as standard formats.

With my 4x5, I will shoot 2x5 as soon as I get around to cutting down the extra dark slide I have. Also have an Adapt-A-Roll 620 back in 6x9 and a Calumet C2 in 6x7. Wish I had a C2 in 6x12 but they cost more than my camera did.

I sometimes crop my 5x7 negs down to a 6x17 format, but not very often.

Occasionally I'll crop to a smaller or to a panoramic format.

8x10 to 4x10 to 5x7 to 6x17

5x7 to 4x5 to 6x12 to smaller

I shoot 6x17 on a 4x5 with a Shen-Hao back. It’s pretty easy to use so I complicate things by trying to use it vertically for architecture. I’m trying to move up to 5x7 with my Sinar system; in part so I can use a K.B. Canham 6x17 back on the 5x7. The Shen-Hao back is o.k. but not so good when trying to use wide angle lenses.

I'm just in the process of building adapters to use my Cambo 4x5 as a macro bellows for pentax 6x7 and 35mm cameras. But that is purely macro, I wouldn't normally use my 8x10 or 4x5 cameras for anything other than their intended format. That would mean I would need fewer cameras which is just plain madness. If I get interested in a format I go in boots and all.

My first LF camera was a 13x18cm model that I used to shoot 5x7". My second one was a 9x12cm, used for 4x5". Both were German - Linhof.

Now that those are sold I use a 5x4" to shoot 4x5" and 9x12cm; a 7x5" to shoot 5x7" and 13x18cm; a 10x8" to shoot 8x10" and 18x24cm; and 6x4.5 - 6x6 - 6x7 - 6x9 - 6x12 with a rollfilm back on the 5x4".

Oh yes - I have 5x4" and 8.5x6.5 backs for the 10x8" too.

Does the Sinar have the sliders for a rollfilm back?

Does 4x4 on 4x5 count?

Less than whatever format intended when flare, light leaks, poor focus, and carelessness are included.

You mean what other aspect ratios do I use other than the one dictated by the film format? If so, I use a few with 5x4 film. I use 5:4 obviously, but also 1.618:1 (aka the "Golden Ratio"), 2.5:1 (panoramic). Weirdly, most of my color work seems to be better at 4:3 which is just slightly more rectangular than 5:4. I don't understand it, but it seems to be true.
