Didn't see anything in the archives, so I'm looking for some help on locating a good pro photo lab and pro photo shop that know LF in the Washington, DC area. Moving there soon (will be working in suburban Virginia) and basically know noth ing about the area. Any assistance and recommendations would be greatly appreci ated. Thanks.

For lab work try Capitol Color for color and Black and White for, well, B&W. They are both in the same building in Crystal City, I believe on/just off of Arlington Blvd. (on the Metro blue line, as I recall).

Asman Photo on Pennsylvania Ave. SE on Capitol Hill is a pro lab that does b&w, e6 and digital scanning. They have a website, although the url escapes me. Chrome in Georgetown is another lab you may want to try as well.

Labs: National Geographic's lab is now open to the public (in their building on 17th St,NW) and they do excellent work. Chrome in located in Georgetown (On Que St, NW off of Wisconsin Ave.) Capitol Color and B&W are in Arlington. All are very good. Shops: There's Penn Camera in downtown DC, Tysons Corner, VA and Rockville, MD. Falls Camera is out in Baileys Crossroads, VA and Abbey Camera is in SIlver Spring, MD.
