The day before my 61st birthday...and I don't even remember ordering this!! (well that's what I told my wife, anyway :D )
Sorry about the crappy digi photos, I just couldn't even wait to get it outside! I must say that the fit and finish of this Chamonix 8x20 (and the holders) is spectacular! Easily among the best I've ever seen; the stain and shine is high end furniture grade. This is just so groovy!

Now that's what I call a sweet day-before birthday gift! And you have a 14x17 coming for your actual birthday too don't you? Looks awsome, Richard.
Woooooaaaahhhhhhhh.
Happy birthday! :)

that's nice! I love that aspect ratio (though I only do 4x10), it seems to be a very enjoyable ratio to compose with!

ah, is that the black walnut then?
obviously not the Canadian Maple. Look pretty nice.

Yes that's the walnut! Walnut's not available in 14x17, elsewise...I may have been ordering the 14x17 in Walnut!
But we'll see what the Canadian Maple looks like in about 6 weeks!
Hey guys thanks for all the good wishes! I'm just so eager to get out there! It's almost too beautiful (but not quite!) to use! :)
Sweeeet!!! Post some pix after the birthday cake :)
Happy Birthday !!!
I seem to recall that I ordered one of those for my 65th Birthday... That was in April?
Or wait... Was it a Ferrari...Hmmmm.

I'll be 62 next Monday, and all I'll get is a lousy T-shirt!
Maybe I can borrow it, huh? I'll treat it like the little old lady who only took it to church on sunday. :)

The back is very interesting. Twin bails? That's pretty neat. The ground glass cutouts are weird; different anyway... Beautiful camera.
