Linhof is presenting his new camera model Techno. For digital and film use.
There is as well a new website. www.linhof.de
I saw it yesterday, maybe of interest.

Thanks Jürgen, for the link. Looks like an Arca mated with Linhof. I wonder if a monorail for supporting the front standard wouldn't be lighter than the double rail with its bed. Also, a range to 300mm lens would be even more universal but that would add more weight to this construction (while a monorail version would not gain much in weight in such a case). Anyway, a welcome addition to cameras.

Looks like they rolled out an unfinished website the day before Photokina... eeeeh

Also a new Technorama Shift (http://www.linhof.de/technorama-shift.html) for their 6x17. Looks like the Techno is only 6x9 though. I could imagine the launch music at Photokina.
:D

Ciao!

Click on "Linhof New 08" on the Techno page for details. It looks like a very well designed camera for digital and medum-format film use. I am sure it is both expensive and beautifully constructed.

Thank god it's digital & MF. I would be bankrupted otherwise.

It is not new. It has been available for over a year as are the 3 lenses for the shift adapter; the 72mm, 90mm and 110mm. The same three lenses are also available for the 617 SIII in regular mount for those who do not use the shift adapter. Also introduced with the shift adapter at the 2006 Photokina were the groundglass adapter and the focusing loupe for the 617 SIII.

At this Photokina Linhof introduced two new cameras. The Techno which is a 6x9 format camera primarily for outdoor digital imaging made from aluminum and carbon fiber which can use the new Rodenstock 24mm lens on a flat board up to a 210mm (or whatever lens will focus with 240mm of bellows extension. Also introduced is a new 4x5 camera with no movements for use on a copy stand primarily for digital backs or film up to 4x5 size.

If anyone wants more info we will detail the new Linhofs, the 2 new Rodenstock lenses and the new Quadropod 4 leg tripod system from Novoflex when we return next week from Photokina.

Nice update Bob. Thanks!

Any image or information on the new 4x5 Linhof yet? Perhaps a picture, or link?
