I guess the title says it all. I've got an 8x10 Kodak Masterview and I would love to get a Whole Plate reducing back for it. Any ideas? There is no way in hell I can make one, so buying one readymade or having one made for me would be what I'm looking for. Oh, and I'm pretty poor, so I'd like to keep it as reasonably priced as possible. Probably too much to ask for this far away from Xmas, eh?

Well, I don't know about the price, but you might contact Richard Ritter (www.lg4mat.net). He could build one for you. Don't know if this will fit into your budget though.

Or, you might be able to find a WP reducing back somewhere and modify it to fit your camera.

PJ,

Definitely give Richard Ritter a call. Richard is great to work with, you may have to be al little patient but Richard is the guy who can provide what you are looking for. He has the contacts to perhaps find a WP back that he can then modify to fit your camera. That is what Richard did when he made me a 5x7 reducing back for my Zone VI 8x10. Richard later modified my 4x5 & 5x7 reducing backs so I could use them with my Ritter 8x10.

I have a spare 5x7 reducing back for an 8x10 Kodak Master. I had purchased it with the idea of having a machinist mill out a rectangular recess so I could then mount a 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 wood back. I sold the Kodak Master recently, but have the extra back left.

They'll make backs for any camera for about $200 I believe
