Hi,
When storing opened or for that matter unopened 4x5 film in a fridge or freezer is it recommended to wrap the box in a sealed plastic bag or just in the box?
Thanks, Zack
I always store film in a sealed plastic bag, and very often double bagged to help keep out moisture, potentials spills, or water from thawing during a power failure.

Most frost-free refrigerators will slowly dehydrate the emulsion in film, thus actually ruining it. You need to have a good vapor barrier to keep the film. In Kodak factory packaging, the film is in a sealed heavy foil back which is satisfactory. If you want to store an open box, you need to put it in a good heavy sealable baggy.

Thanks everybody - pretty much what I thought but wanted to make sure.
Cheers
