I've got an ISCO Verlängerungslinse 13,5 / 25,5 and a Verkürzungslinse 25 / 372. Zeiss had their Distar/Proxar lenses that did the same thing.

Has anyone here used these types of accessory lenses, and do they degrade the performance a lot? I thought that maybe the Verlängerungslinse could be used for portraits.

13,5 / 25,5 must mean that the 13,5 cm lens becomes a 25,5 cm with the Verlängerungslinse on, but I don't understand what the 25 / 372 means on the Verkürzungslinse?

Verlängerungslinse/Verkürzungslinse

With 3 years of high school German, I'm hoping for a translation. Grin.

I can't wait till someone who knows, answers.

I'm struggeling with the translation. Not sure if a direct translation to english is possible. No problem with swedish though = förlängningslins/förkortningslins.

The Verlängerungslinse makes the focal length longer, and the Verkürzungslinse makes it shorter.

Kürz = short.
Lang = long.

Try "lengthening lens" and "shortening lens". :)

I have no idea about the numbers though, even if I have both Proxar/Distars and Focars.

:rolleyes: So it was THAT simple. I became stuck at "Ver-". "Enlongering lens" didn't sound good. :p
