I am slowly browsing for Fuji 240 or 250 to use on an 8x10.
I was under the impression that the 6.3 was EBC and had huge coverage, but I am beginning to doubt my rusty old memory cells. A Google search brought many opinions but little solid info.

Which of three is best suited to general 8x10 use, which is the best of the bunch and why?

I don't shoot very much color anymore, so B+W, urban scenes and people would be the most typical applications.

thank you,

Allen

I believe the 250, 6.7 has a larger image circle than the 6.3 version and thus, is much more desirable for the 8x10. Although it is only single coated, this would be fine for b&w. I did see a 250 f6.7 in the classifieds for a good price. The 240 is an f9 maximum aperature. Good luck!

6.7 is the older larger IC.

That great is a great reference, thank you.
I did another search and got a LFPF previous discussion:

It seems the 6.3 tends to sell for a higher price than the more desirable 6.7! :)

I had a 6.7, sold it a while ago, every bit as good as the Symmar-S, just a slightly (very) different color cast, and a picky art director/client.

I still consider my 250mm 6.7 Fujinon to be one of my favorite lenses. I just used it this morning on a 5x7 shot of a mine here in Vermont. If it looks halfway decent after I develop the film, I'll post the results. It's sharp and has good contrast as long as you don't shoot directly into strong light. It does have a tendency to flare under those lighting situations. I use a compendium with my Toyo, so that helps immensely.

An interesting table. For example, the 300mm SW Fujinon having an image circle of 720mm.

The SW are all wide angles. I guess the 300mm is the same design used for the 90mm/105mm but a longer focal length.

Here is the mine shot to which I referred in an earlier post. 250 6.7 Fujinon on Tri-X film.
