Hi,

I see often polaroid film typ 52 or 55 or 57 or something like that for sale for 4x5. Has that something to do with the speed of the film? T\Do they all fit in a standard polaroid holder?
I could find a satisfying answer on the net in lamens terms so hence my question here.

Greets,

Peter

Ok thanks I'm still a bit fuzzy about the different holders and such But I'll have a look on the website as well.

They all fit the same holder.
52 is a 100 speed film/print producing only a print.
55 produces a beautiful negative along with an overexposed print, or an underexposed negative with a good print. Negative speed is usually 32, and print speed 50.

You won't have to worry about these much longer as all production has or will shortly cease.

Has ceased. Good luck trying to find Type 55 anywhere. Keep in mind that because Polaroid films store the processing chemicals in the actual film package, their shelf life is only a year or two.
