Xtol / expiration

Hi everyone,
The other day I realized that I had somehow overlooked a package of Xtol in my darkroom. The package is unopened and the expiration date on it is Feb 2008. Do you think I can safely use it or should I consider it a loss? Thanks...

Mix it and try it with a test sheet, it's the only way to be certain.
