I have a pre-WWII Linhof originally belonging to my Grandfather that I would like to identify as well as find some film holders for. The only identifying mark is a small plate on the bellows extension rail that says Linhof-Vamera-Werk Munchen as well as the number 15 stamped on the inside of the cover plate near the hinge (center under the bellows extension rail). This is a 9X12 camera. I assume it is from the mid 1920s from the pictures I have, all of pre war Germany and on glass plates. I am also looking for film holders for this camera, your help is greatly appreciated. I have attached a couple of pictures to potentially help with the identification.

Tom, the camera looks like a Linhof "Standard" form the mid thirties. This camera was buildt in different sizes from 6,5x9 cm (2 1/4 x 3 1/4") up to 13x18 cm (5x7"). It's the same camera as the Technika II but without a swing back.
Single film holders 9x12 cm for this camera were made up to the fifties and can be found sometimes. For cut film one needs 9x12 cm inserts too.
I have some Linhof 9x12 fit plate holders (at least 4) & also a 120 6x9 Rollex back thats similar fit, these are spare as they don't fit my 3 9x12 cameras.
PM'ed details of the fit & dimensions.

I am finally back and still on the hunt for film holders. The camera is actually not a 9X12. It is closer to a 4X5 and I believe the film holders I am looking for are approximately 10 X 14 CM.

If your camera has the size 175 x 175 x 65 mm it is a "Standard 10 x 15 cm".
