I just got into developing and printing recently, and bought a Beseler 67c locally for next to nothing. However, it does not do 4x5. That is what I am told. Can this be re-fitted to do 4x5? Or do I need to buy another enlarger.
Cheers

Hi, the 67C is too small to convert to 4x5 because the head/condensers are too small.

You can probably get a Beseller 45 for the same price!

A friend of mine converted a 23C to 4x5 several years ago but the conversion had some limitations. I converted a 45M to 5x7 in a similar fashion. With today’s market for enlargers I would think you could find a 4x5 enlarger for about what it would cost to convert and you would have a better enlarger in the end.

If you could the time spent would be a waste, look for a 4x5 model and spend the time on printing.
