thread "ignore"

There is a provision that allows us to make a list of users to "ignore". I would like to have a similar ability to make a list of threads to "ignore". Is there anyone else that would find this useful and, if so, is it possible?

You can ignore entire forums ("My Settings"-->"Edit Options"), but I don't think we can ignore threads. I think that would be a great feature, to filter out anything we're not interested in from the New Posts list.

There is an easier way to ignore threads...don't look at them.:)
