Can anyone recommend a good graflok fit viewer either angled or straight for the 6x9cm format. At present I use the Horseman angle viewer on my Ebony SW23 but i t's rather bulky and not very bright.

Your help will be much appreciated,

The Horseman is the best that I've ever heard of. For a brighter screen you should contact Bill Maxwell (404) 244-0095; he'll custom fit a fresnel that is very bright and contrasty.

Cambo makes one for their 2x3 camera but IMO, it's rather poorly made and quite costly to boot (as I recall, Calumet's asking $339 on their website). One came with the Toyo 23G outfit I bought last summer and while it's functional, I prefer the genuine Toyo viewer overall. The Toyo viewer has long been discontinued, however, and they are usually pretty costly ($200+) when one does turn up.

Thanks guys.

I think the easiest/cheapest? way for me to go (other then give up completely) i s to mount a fresnel within the Horseman viewer. Ebony produce one for their 45 cameras which I use on their SW45 and its superb. At #50 I could risk cutting it down to 6x9cm to fit behind the viewer's ground glass.

Thanks again for advise and information,

Is your Horseman viewer attached to your Ebony using the camera's graflok sliders? And, if so, is it the standard Horseman screen assembly that comes with the viewer? If so, and if it's like mine, you already have a fresnel. Follow Howard's suggestion and call Bill Maxwell.

Sal, Yes it is the standard Horseman screen but their fresnel is poor with my wi de angle lenses from 55 down. The Ebony fresnel is designed for WA lenses from 3 5 to 90. Thanks,
