I just received my color munki photospectrometer and software. This is probably the best piece of kit Ive purchased in a long long time. It is helping to solve one of my major problems with broad color management issues. As I am primarily an oil painter who has moved to hybrid moving paintings and digital variations on an analog theme, I have been grappling with accurate color correction since 2000. This tool has allowed me to not only color adjust my monitors to the printed image, but more importantly has allowed me to measure the ambient light, and the exact color definition of my frickin oil paintings. I can know match, ambient light, oil painting, photography and motion imagery via plasma, lcd, crt with one piece of software.

There is even the ability to send digital correct images using the included digital pouch (or whatever its called) software.

This allows me to create color corrected animations of oil paintings in a very similar color environment. I can display a motion image of an oil painting that is extremely similar color wise to the analog painting.

If you are looking for a simple solution to color manage - this may well be it.

Hi Greg

I just purchased it from Amazon at $ 50 off msrp which was something like $ 449 and free shipping.

Please note I have no affiliation with any company and am an end user only.

"adjust my monitor to my printed image." Well, you're happy -that's clear; but, I'm going to tell the color management gods.
