That is not the same thing. Look at the nipple length. This one is several times as long as the Gepe one. Therefore it would not fit the same recessed boards as the Gepe one.

And why do you need ten 3.25" Wide ANGLE CABLE RELEASE Extensions? Can't you just buy some longer cable releases?

You see, I have long cable releases. What works for me, especially for packing into backapack, is to have those extentions permamently attached, so I can conveniently use one long cable release.

This is what I use on a Cambo recessed board (Copal 0 shutter). It works quite well. I leave it attached permanently and it sticks out far enough to conveniently attach a cable release when I'm ready to shoot. When I pack up the lens I push the extension into the recessed board. This is a better price than I paid on ebay.

And some cables with short nipples (seemingly flexible) have solid inserts under the cover to protect the "rod" at the tip. Those didn't fit in the Linhof recessed board as it has so little space around the shutter.

I think it's OK with larger and/or flat boards.

Thanks Brian. I'm gonna wait if other's might have another retail source and if not I'll go for it.

Before you jump in Peter, take a look at both kinds and compare the tips that attach to the shutter. The Gepe has an extremely short tip that will flex much more than the one from Badger. If you are using a recessed board, be sure you've got the needed space or you are no better off than with a regular cable release.

I've got both ktypes and always opt for the Gepe with a recessed board.

It's a long shot, but back in the 60's and 70's Calumet made a full release with a flex tip like the Gepe. You could fit it in and use it into the tightest recessed boards with easy function. Maybe somebody has some of those on the auction site or in a drawer somewhere.

Peter, phone Badger, they are very helpful and have good knowledge of the products they sell.
