Some Razzle shots on Fuji instant. Annoyingly it's 4 years OOD which means the little white tabs broke off after the third shot and the rest of the pack was rubbished - I couldn't manage to salvage the other shots (the whole load of white tabs split and snapped as I tried to save them).

Turned out to be a Triptych...

Works fairly well for that out of date. Shame about the tabs breaking.

I was playing with a quick Fuji FP100C45 in a Polaroid 550 holder earlier today. Unfortunately nothing much worth viewing, since I tried hand holding a 5 seconds exposure. That was for a test of my ultra low profile Polaroid 900 conversion. Just finished the major cuts on the back part on the milling machine, and before I remove the original lens and install a Xenar, I wanted to do a quick test. More to come on this later.

Ciao!

Hey Ash,

Like the third 'punk agro shot', you've got good subject matter there:)

I scored the 'Candy Razzle' from Dean, having a small shutter problem sorted at the moment but when I'm back in action will post some test shots, very exciting camera - can't wait to get started.

I've been using that Fuji FP100 with a 4x5 and getting some worthwhile results, nice film and no real failures so far.

Regards,

Chris.

Man that Fuji pack film is great.
I was shooting the flaming lips for the magazine I work for. I turn up in the pit and have this conversation with the local press guy about things in general. He started bitching about someone turning up the previous week with a film SLR. I bit my lip for a while, then as the band came on saw his jaw drop through the floor as I cradled my 52 Hasselblad with a pola back on it.

However this Fuji story continues ...

I was putting the shots into my pocket after and leaving them to dev in there. As streamers confetti, alien dancers flew around me I did not realise I had dropped all the sheets as I moved onto another camera (DSLR .. Still the only one there not taking a shot and checking though). So come the end of the third song as will all press pits we were asked to leave by the security. I get to the back to watch the show and see the shots still in their un-peeled form. Hand in pocket ... NOOOOO. They had fallen out.

So an hour or so later I went back to the pit and explained all this to the security guard. 5 minutes of searching through sodding wet paper and beer glasses I find all 10 sitting there happily soaked. Tentativly I opened the first ..

Perfect! How amazing is Fuji? It's sharper, tonality wise makes the polaroid stuff look like a joke and takes a beating I would imagine any other film could never survive, so Ash use it and abuse it well. One thing though is give it about a 1/3rd over. for proper popping colour.

To see the lot with digital ...

Ash, I'm still seriously jealous of the razzle by the way :) Third Shot is great, crop a bit off the left and some of the headroom you have a very Dazed and Confused looking location shoot.

Definitely FP100C is quite good. I just hope Fuji keeps the price levels in check while Polaroid slowly stops their production. Going to try some Fuji manipulations soon, since I got a few tips.

Looks like some of your Fujis got trampled. The little scratches and marks actually seem appropriate for music images. Cool effect, even if unintentional.

Ciao!

Nice shots there. Fuji's are stronger than we might think. As I experienced. The print film is way stronger than the tab material ;)
