I remember hearing about this a while ago. It looks interesting, but I'm not really sure exactly what it is. "Festival" is such a broad word. Whatever it is, I wish them luck... anything like this to help contribite to raising the awareness of photography as an art is very positive in my book.

With "The Future of Contemporary Photography" as their catch-phrase, I think I'll stay away.

I don't know about the rest off you but to me there's a big difference beween "Fine Art Photography" (which I love) and "Contemporary Photography" (which I just don't get).

Might be interesteing to see, though, what part LF plays in their "Future".

I just got back from this -- and all i can say is if you live in New York City, stop reading this thread and GO to this! There were numerous areas of very high quality exhibitions ranging from Ananke Asseff through Katherine Wolkoff. I really enjoyed this show -- and found that not only was this show well thought out, it was very well executed. If there was even slightly something that could've been overlooked, I couldn't find it. There were a wide range of contemporary photographers being exhibited at numerous different locations and venues... I quite enjoyed this show and was well worth the time and money spent.
