View Full Version : The LIght Farm is up and running
The Light Farm finally a reality. We are a small group (hoping to grow, of course) dedicated to the renaissance of handcrafted silver gelatin products - paper, LF film, and glass negatives. I know that a number of folk here are successfully making dry plates and I would love if you'd consider becoming a Light Farm contributing editor and sharing your work.

I need to figure out how to make glass plate negs ... you know for when film becomes extinct :-)

Ron: Here's hoping LF film will be with us for a while yet and better yet, affordable as well as available! But even with fingers crossed for factory film, I have to plug glass negatives for their own sake. They've got a 'look' all their own. It's not technically IR, but the lack of an antihalation layer gives something of the same feel.

It's probably not a secret that I love making the things. I hope you consider giving it a try, even before The End of Film :)
