I looked at a Chamonix 4x5 camera yesterday in the flesh and I'm sold on this camera.

Does anyone have Hugo's contact info so I can place my order?

And I think there is probably a Chamonix 8x10 in my future as well.

Thanks,

Don Bryant

Thanks everyone and sorry I mis-spelled Mr. Zhang's name.

Don, it's 4 days since I received a package with my new Chamonix 5×8" camera. Purchase was arranged through Hugo and dealing with him is straightforward. And the camera is wonderful, light, beautiful, pleasant to work with...

oddly enough I saw one a few months back and didn't think it was better or worse then a standard flatbed, it is quite different however

For the price I think the camera is quite impressive. It certainly won't suit everyones needs. The precision of construction at that price is surprising. My one complaint is that a handle isn't included.

At 3 pounds it will make a very lightweight field camera for travel.
