Does anyone know where I can find a retaining ring for this shutter? I think it's a RAPAX #3 shutter but it isn't marked as such so I don't really know. All I can say is that the diameter of the mount that accepts the retaining ring is about 42 mm. Is it unrealistic to think that someone might have a spare? I sure don't know, but any help that anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I would try Jim at MPEX (Midwest Photo Exchange) he seems to be able to come up with the odd lens flange. By-the-way, what you need for that vintage of shutter is going to be a lens flange, which attaches with screws to the front of your lensboard, and you screw your shutter into it. It is only later shutters that had the "jam nut" type of retainer that screws onto the back of the shutter behind the lensboard.

If worse comes to worse, you can have one made by S. K. Grimes.
