This is interesting and thanks for sharing. It is another reminder to me of why it is important to know a bit the history of photography and art. This has given me some ideas and inspiration to try something, although not the exact technique described.

One of my favorite writers and graphic artists who also worked in cliché-verre is Bruno Schulz (1892-1942). He etched his images on a blackened sheet of glass to produce the negative, which would then be printed as a black-on-white image.
The best selection of his images in print is in _The Drawings of Bruno Schulz_ published by Northwestern University Press--
