Morning fog rising above downtown LA. Taken during the November Chamonix outing.

I love fog, but (un)fortunately, I live in LA, so this will have to do. Please show your fog. :)

Very nice Ken!

The city images make me think of 'smog' rather than 'fog' - sorry. It's probably because I see this from my home in the city here. Nice images too.

Sorry, I live in Hawaii. We don't do fog. :p

But, but - on the mountain tops there, like the ones with 600 inches of average annual rainfall, there's little difference between fog and clouds. ;)

I love the fog, but it's such a rarity in southern Arizona. But once in a great while, in the mountains...

Well, not so much at sea level anyway.

Here's one from Moloka'i a couple of rainy winters ago (4x5" albumen print).

Mark, your image is quite beautiful and I find it hard to look away. Inviting and serene. Care to share some details about the photo? Well done!

Vinny, I had seen this before, nice image.
I was going to ask you if it was shot in Long BEach, but then I remembered that there was Ice, it can't be.
Where is it?

The only thing that could make this excellent photograph more complete would be the addition of zombies coming out of the trees.

I love Large Format photos made in fog. They render it so nicely, that the remaining details are more delicious to the eye.

"Tunnel Beach" at Oceanside, Oregon

Access to the beach is via a small tunnel (pedestrian-sized) that local residents blasted through a basalt headland 80 years ago...

Thank you, Brian! The details are pretty plain; 8x10 with a coated tessar on HP5, up on Mt. Lemmon at 9200 feet msl. Cloudbase sometimes drops that low during the summer monsoons. I made the fog pictures a year ago, the last time I could catch the fog. Hoping for a few foggy days this summer. Another one from that day, though I think I've posted this before...
