Good article about corporate photo-grabbing and the rise of interest by joe average in copyright.

The explanation of copyright is a bit simplistic, but then again, this is the Washington Post, which ceased to be a bastion of high-quality writing sometime around 1972.

A very poorly written article, disconnected, and amateurish. Thanks for posting as it does give a feeling of how little attention is paid to copyright law by the media.

Corporate America wants to own it all. They protect their copyright, but can care less about the individual's.

Magazines for decades have tried to steal away photographers' copyright. Nothing new. The internet simply makes it easier.

You should read some of the boiler plate on Corbis' contracts to photographers. Bill Gates personally owns Corbis. The rich always want to be richer.
