I like Kodak's Polymax T liquid developer concentrate, which functions identically to Dektol to my eye but doesn't involve powders. The last few bottles I've had, included two I purchased last weekend, have a small quantity of whitish/translucent crystals swimming around on the bottom. Developer activity seems OK, but out of curiousity does anyone know what the crystals are and whether I should be concerned? I didn't find anything about this in the archives.

Thx.

It apparently hasn't affected my prints, although I haven't done a careful comparison of the developer with and without the crystals.

I always thought that the developer should be poured into a glass bottle and the plastic bottles discarded. My last bottle was very old and had the crystals as well but it did work. I finally threw it out after I got some Ansco 130. Anything that crystallizes out in room temperature has to be one of the chemicals perhaps getting oxygen.
