May be this email from Ian Wilson will make things easier to clarify this item :

"Since you will have the 45SU soon, I'd like to recommend viewers that can be modified for use with this camera without the need for modifying the camera too (which would require the camera to go back to the workshop in Tokyo!)

There are three options:

1) Toyo

Ebony parts needed: none

Parts modified: viewer

Viewer usable with other cameras? No

2) Linhof reflex viewer

Ebony parts needed: none

Parts modified: none (Hiromi makes adapter)

Viewer usable with other cameras? Yes

3) Cambo (T20)

Ebony parts needed: none

Parts modified: viewer

Viewer usable with other cameras? No

Please inquire with your preferred Ebony dealer about prices. Hiromi can source a Toyo viewer in Japan, modify it, and ship it directly (i.e. "drop ship" it) to you, but the other two viewers would have to be sent to the Ebony workshop in Tokyo either by you or your dealer.

Best wishes,

Ian "

You can also do this yourself pretty easily. See my post in this thread:

My workmanship isn't as good as a skilled machinist with proper tools, but it works very well.

I have tried to use the Cambo viewer a number of times, but I have not been able to make the conversion and still use a dark cloth (Gnass).

I found a viewer is difficult to use with shorter focal length lenses in particular.

I haven't given up and will try it again.
