Hi

I have also jumped in this large sea of large format photography. I am afraid I will never be able to swim across to another format/medium ever. Still I am happy.

I have purchased this MPP Mk VII folding camera with 90mm F 6.8 Graflex optar WA lens.

I have many small questions.

I would like to attach Grafloc back to it. As it does not have full back I mean It comes without original focusing screen or screen holder/back. Please check attachment

Instead It has poloroid MP 4 land camera fresnal focusing screen that is not attached to camera in anyway ( I accidently droped it while taking few test shot on 120 back ) Lesson learned I have got another few screen made they work OK.

Secondly a Carl Zeiss Jena Nr Tessar 135mm uncoated lens is also availble for $150 should I go for it.

I m waiting to expose my first 4X5 film

thanks in advance

I don't know the MPP MK VII so can't tell you for sure, but if the spring back comes off, most cameras allow a Graflok back to be installed though it requires some nice metal or wood work to make the necessary adapter.

I wouldn't suggest buying a 135mm Tessar for your camera. It has coverage only slightly larger than 4" X 5", so you would not be able to make use of your movements. I also think $150 is high for an uncoated version.
