Hi All,
After looking at a lot of examples of IR photography I picked up a pack of Rollei IR 4x5 film slides but realized I have no idea how to expose for it :) What is the dynamic range of this stuff, should I under or over expose, what ISO should I treat it as? Which filter should I go with, the #25 Red or a true IR filter?

Thanks,
Sam

If you want the most possible IR effect use a real IR filter, The Hoya R72. The red will not ad much effect. This Rollei is barely an IR film whereas the new Maco IR goes a lot further into the IR spectrum.
I expose it between ISO 6 and 12 with the R72 filter.

Agreed. If this is the old Maco emulsion repackaged as Rollei, a Hoya R72 would be perfect. Rate at ASA 6 and develop for about 9:00 70°F stock D-76. Don't make any mistakes though, as that Rollei film is nearly at nearly $4 a sheet.

Despite many people claiming it is, it is not the old Maco IR.
