The seller was wanting to move it fast or who knows what might have been lurking below the surface of the water....

Think I'll just dwell on this statement.......:( 'The gear here for sale is used and shows scratches and signs of wear on the body'.....probably a lot of scratches and lots of wear.

At least that's the idea I'm using to help lessen the pain.
