Cambo 4x5 GG measurments??

I purchased a GG (polymer) and a fresnel lens over the internet. When I tried to install them, they would not fit. It apears that the long side is 1/8 inch too long. The gentleman that I bought them from said that I must have a non standard back. I actually have two different model Cambos with two different backs and they are an 1/8 of an inch too long in both in both backs.

Is there a standard size and a non standard size?? What are the measurements? How do you feel about using polymer GG instead of real ground glass??

The measurements I have on file are as follows:

Cambo Legend 100mm x 125mm
Cambo SCX 102mm x 126mm
Cambo SF 102mm x 126mm

What is the measurement of the screen you purchased, it sounds like it actually may be even larger than the standard 4x5

There are so many variations in ground glass backs it is crazy, there don't seem to be much standardization I have over 50 different "4x5" measurements on file for the various manufactures.

The items I ordered are 128 x 102.

What's your thought on substituting Polymer for Glass?

Hi Bill,

Actually I have not tried one of the poly screens yet, I imagine if the surface is ground evenly, it would be fine.
