Tenatively still planning on a trip for about 4 days sometime around the 2nd week of September.

Tips on good fall color hotspots?

Hi Ben,

If your looking for fall color, I would suggest the east side of the park, lots of aspens over on that side of the park, be sure to explore around the park as well, there are lots of nice places to photograph in the fall around this area.

Thanks Dave - I think I'll be starting around Logan Pass. I'm leaving at 3am tomorrow morning.

I just returned (last night) from a week at Many Glacier and spent much of the time on the East side. The aspens are just starting to turn--most are still green, but a few are yellow. Definitely more aspens as you work the hills of East side of Going to the Sun Road near St. Mary and just outside the park entrance heading into Many Glacier. Just South of St. Mary there are lots of burned trees from the wildfires this past summer. It makes for an interesting drive and photography.

There was some snowfall in the higher elevations last week Thursday so colors are just beginning to change.
