This is the barrel version.

Does anyone know the coverage of the lens? How useable is it on an 8x10 camera?

Thanks in advance.

It covers 200 mm, will give you a nice circular image on 8x10. The shortest tessar type Apo Nikkor that will cover 8x10 at infinity is the 450/9, and with no movements. The shortest dialyte type Apo Nikkor that will cover 8x10 at infinity is the 360/9, again with no movements. This is per Nikon, users who aren't as fussy as the maker may find more coverage.

As a rule, process lenses that aren't Dagor types, plasmats, or wide angle double Gauss types cover around 45 degrees. Sometimes less, and even with them the more critical you are the less coverage you'll find. There are narrow angle double Gauss type process lenses, e.g., the Lomo RF-3, -4, and -5.

Hi,
I use my 240/9 Nikkor on my 8x10. It has room to spare in terms of coverage.

Anyone looking for a Schneider 240mm APO-Symmar?
