I' using a Crown Graphic with a 135mm Optar lens for hand held street photography. But I do need a lens shade - can anyone offer advice as to what size I need (no threads in front of the lens so slip-on is needed). Any ideas on sources?

thanks.

You need a Series VI slip on adapter and hood. You will need to measure the outside diameter of the lens, which should be around 34mm or so, then find the adapter of the size you need, and a Series VI hood. The hood will also serve as the holder for Series VI filters.
Source of supply? The great auction thingy. Midwest photo exchange - www.mpex.com and perhaps KEH and B&H. B&H had new filters not too long ago, but pricey.

I have slip on adapters, shades, and series 6 filters in my private stock that I would be willing to sell. I'm sure I have what you need.

Thank you both.

Robert - I'll measure the outside diameter of my lens when I get home tonight. Maybe I'll be fortunate and you'll have the required size.

I founs a site that lists the diameter of my lens as 38mm (1 1/2 inches).
