I just got a RH-10 Back for my baby Crown, and have tried Velvia and Ilford Pan F. Film flatness is horrible with either, requiring f:32 to achieve sharpness o ver the entire negative (105mm Ektar). Is there any roll film, either B&W or co lor, that works best in this holder? Also, do Mamiya RB-67 holders fit a Graflo ck back, and how good are they for film flatness. TIA Mitch.

First of all, carefully check to be sure parts and pieces aren't slopping around ; that's no uncommon. I have an otherwise-clean RH-10 that has wiggly guts, but after trying another non-wiggly RH-10 I concluded that it really wasn't worth fo oling with.

RB backs should fit ok.

I use a Horseman 6x7 holder ($189 mint used from KEH) and it's working great.

RB-67 holders fit perfectly, hold the film flat, and seem to last forever. The RH Graflex holders did not have a long service life under heavy use. As a wedding photographer, I wore them out in 3 or 4 years before I discovered the better RB67 holders.

I have not had much trouble with film flatness in my RH-10's using FP4+, HP5+ and Fuji/Agfa print films. I suspect it is more an issue of variability with the holders than the film.
