Turning a Calumet Cambo 6x7 roll-film holder into 6x12?

I want to take a 6x7 roll film back like this (http://www.calumetphoto.com/item/CB5500/) and turn it into 6x12 image area.

It doesn't have to be pretty, but would it be possible to dremel the image area of the 6x7 into 6x12? Are these holders geared specifically for 6x7 or does it not matter?

The holder material is plastic.

There's a folding arm and film roller transport that would likely prohibit you from doing this effectively. Plus, keeping the groove and lip light tight for the darkslide would probably be impossible.

I do believe that Calumet made a 6x12 version of this holder that shows up occaisionally on feebay.

The pressure plate and film rails will be too short and the film won't advance by the right distance.

Better to sell it and buy one of the Chinese 6x12 backs, as Nick suggests.

there's a chinese brand called guohua that makes a 6x12 back. i hear bad things about it, but i'm not entirely sure...

There seem to be about four or five of these companies making similar products.

I have a DaYi 6x17 back, and it's been fine. DaYi also sells under the "Focus" brand.

Reports of the Shen-Hao products have generally been good.

Fotoman products seem quite good.

I've thought about doing that same modification, but I decided that even with my engineering background and access to a machine shop, it wasn't a cost-effective proposal. It certainly could be done, but not without far more effort than it's worth.

I have a Da Yi 6x12cm roll holder (looks almost same as the Shen Hao 612 in the link to Badger) and I'm very content with it. No problems so far, have it for half a year or so... It's (relatively) very cheap, very simple, (relatively) well made, have no problems with light leaks or film flatness.

I'd definitely recommend it...
