Sorry if this is an FAQ - I'm looking for comparison of Neopan Acros 100 vs TMax 100, preferably with examples. I'm interested in comaring things like grain size, exposure latitude, etc.

Thanks a lot!

Here is a comparison:

Acros has slightly better reciprocity, other than that not much difference that I could see.

for me, grain and acutance=same

Character, Acros is way better. TMax for me is the worst film I have used. Acros might not match APX100 or FP4+ but is not nearly so bad as Tmax, so OK for quickloads. Tmax 5x4 readyload..........I would rather shoot 120 Ilford if portability is an issue.

Well, I'm shooting 4x5 and I prefer quickloads/readyloads, so I guess, FP4+ is not an option for me.
Ordered a box of Acros and red filter ;)

As an interesting aside, Butzi's link indicates that as of November, 2003, Fuji Acros Quickloads were $50 for 20 sheets and Tmax Readyloads were $42.

I checked the B&H site and today both are listed at $61 while the Adorama site lists Tmax at $65 and Acros at $62. Quite a price jump in slightly over 3 1/2 years!
