View Full Version : Toyo 45a and 90mm lens
So as I wait the arrival of my newly purchased Toyo 45a, I am wondering if I will need a recessed board for the Caltar II N 90mm 4.5 lens I bought to go along with it?
thanks.

Well, I use my Grandagon N 55mm lens on my AII with a flat board and have plenty of movement so you should have no problems with the 90.

I use my Super Angulon 90/8 on a flat board too on my Toyo 45AII.

I have an AII with the same lens. Mostly no problem. Could use a little more room in the bellows sometimes, they are drawn back pretty far, but it doesn't limit movements.
I haven't been able to find a recessed Toyo 110mm lens board in a Copal #1, which is what that lens uses. Maybe other manufacturers?
**Beautiful** lens, you will see it even while focusing on the GG before you make an exposure. I am a bit anal sometimes, so I bought the lens new. Nice! :) :)
Best,
Michael
I got my lens from the original owner and it was somewhat cheap.
