I am looking for parts for a Scanmate 11000. We would prefer to be able to purchase the parts from someone in North America. Currently what I need is the encoder for DC motor on a Scanmate 11000. This is because the hub for the drum does not lock into the home position.

I would also like the software service module for testing the operation of the scanner.

Any help would be great.

Search the archives here. (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ScanHi-End/) If you can't tell from the archives, ask on the group.

Also try Pazio. They have drums, don't know what else.

You could try Genesis Equipment (http://www.genesis-equipment.com), though I am not sure if they would have parts for a Scanview. They might be able to refer you to other companies. Best of luck.

I have an encoder for a 5000 but I don’t know if it is the same as the one used on the 11000. You should email Steve Nelson steve.nelson@esko.com he is the service manager at esko who use to service Scanmate.

Thanks for all your help, I have got it working. What had happened was the lock pin was slightly bent and stuck about half way in its bracket. So the lock pin would not slide in or out the way it is designed to for locking into the hub. I had contacted Steve Nelson the service manager of esko and he was alot of help. It was alot simpler fix then I thought it would be.

Steve also informed me that the encoder from the Scanmate 5000 will not work on a Scanmate 11000.

Thanks,
Rick

SOME COMMENTS ARE GREAT AND OTHERS SEND THIS MACHINE TO HELL. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT FOR SOME PEOPLE IS RATED 10 POINTS AND FOR OTHER 0 POINTS.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINION ON IT. I'LL REALLY APPRECIATE.
