I am building a lensboard extender to get a bit more extension to allow me to use a 450mm Fujinon C on my Whole Plate Seneca.

The extender is mostly done, and it works very well. I painted the inside of the extender flat black. However, it looks like it is still a bit "shinier" inside than I would like. I don't know if I am worrying about nothing, or if it is reasonable to be concerned.

I use a bit of felt around the opening for the Technika-type board, and felt glued on all the inside surfaces of the extender would do the trick, but that seems like it might be a dust or lint magnet.

Any suggestions on alternate materials or comments?

Thanks in advance.

Edmund Scientific sells black flocking paper for telescope and lens makers. I've used this inside lens barrels, solid lens shades and other places, and it's very effective.

David,

This sounds like just the ticket.

Thanks.
