Information on Goerz 10" f4.5 S-Dagor

Does anyone have any information on a Goerz 10" f4.5 S-Dagor? The lens is in barrel, coated, very large (significantly larger than my 240mm f3.5 Xenar), looks to be a 6/2 design, serial no. is 82xxxx, aperture runs from f4.5 to f32 and has an odd long (focusing?) thread. It may have been an aerial lens, but I can't be sure.

Any information (even educated guesses) is much appreciated.

Lens & Repro in NYC had a Dagor-S listed for ages; perhaps they can shed some light

Thanks for the suggestion; I have already spoken with Geoff at L&R and he didn't know much about it other than thinking it was an aerial lens.
