Anybody know what the design is for the old Fuji W? I'm most curious about the 150mm that took 46mm filters.

For such a Fujinon question your first stop should be Kerry Thalmann's very informative webpage: http://www.thalmann.com/largeformat/fujinon.htm

If I may quote from that page,

"One further anomaly is the little 150mm f6.3 Fujinon W. This lens was not a plasmat type like all the other members of the original W series. It is a tessar derived 4/3 design. For some mystifying reason this particular lens was granted W status, while all the other 4/3 tessar derived designs (210mm, 300mm, 420mm) carried the L designation."

I'm mostly curious on why the coverage is so high. Isn't it too high for a plasmat?

I stuck it on the 8x10. Figuring with 250mm published coverage I could check out the edges of the circle. Thing is it lit up the edges just fine. Image didn't seem that bad.

Thanks for the link to Kerry's webpage.
